Yes. The right formula can pad out hair from root to tip, lending luscious plumpness that gives you extra body and hold. Best of all, because mousses by their very nature are ultra-light and easy to use, they don't drag fine strands down. That means even more volume from your blow-dry.
The name gives it away. These foams give fullness to flat strands by adding volume and body from root to very tip. One of the best things about a mousse is that, unlike a lot of other styling products, it can be sprayed directly into roots without making your hair sticky or greasy.
Mousse is good for any hair type and texture – but especially thin, fine locks. That's because a mousse is lightweight enough not to drag the hair down, instead giving it an injection of movement. So if you're looking for styling essentials for thin hair, a volumising mousse is definitely the way to go.
In the case of our Lee Stafford Ddouble Blow Mousse, you apply it to both. First, squeeze it onto wet hair for a bouncy blow-dry. Then, add a little more to dry hair and do your blow-out again.
Of course. Mousse is kind to your hair – never drying or damaging – so leaving it in your hair overnight is perfectly okay. In fact, it's a great way of maintaining volume until your next hair wash.
You can, but the best results happen when you blow-dry it through your hair. Think big, bountiful body that's totally unstoppable. So, although there's no downsides to air-drying with mousse in (it can perk up otherwise flat air-dried hair), you're going to see the most volume when you combine it with a bouncy blow-out.
