The new Colour Guarded range has been formulated for all colour treated hair. Whether you've dyed your hair blonde, black, red, blue or any other colour under the rainbow our new range will lock in vibrance and shield your shade.
There are various reasons your freshly dyed hair colour will fade. Over washing is one, using a harsh shampoo can strip your hair of its natural oils and the lovely colour pigments you’ve added to it, leaving it looking dull. Also, washing your hair with warm/hot water temperatures can contribute to colour fade. Sun exposure is another factor in why your colour fades, UV rays break down hair dye molecules, leading to premature fading. Using heated tools for styling your hair is another. Also, avoid chlorine in swimming pools, you could use a swimming hat or if on holiday, enjoy looking beautiful lounging on the sunbed next to the pool instead.
Using a sulphate-free shampoo such as the Colour Guarded Colour Protecting Shampoo will help as it's much gentler on dyed hair. Using cold water to rinse treatments and conditioners helps to seal the cuticle and lock in colour. Avoiding heat exposure will also help to keep your colour from fading, let your hair dry naturally and minimise the use of heated styling tools. However, if you prefer to use heated styling tools make sure you use heat protection. The Colour Guarded Colour Lamination Spray is perfect to use before heat styling your hair, it adds a protective layer and has been specifically formulated for all dyed hair to lock in colour, shield hair from heat damage and enhance shine. Before going out in the sun make sure you are wearing a hat or hair products with a UV filter/protectant in them.
Yes! Our Colour Guarded range is suitable for ALL hair types that have been coloured. The sulphate-free formulas are gentle on curly hair.
Step 1: Wet your hair, and then gently massage the Colour Guarded Colour Protecting Shampoo all over the scalp and hair. Rinse well and repeat if desired. Step 2: After shampooing, apply the Colour Guarded Colour Locking Treatment through roots to ends, combing through for even distribution. Leave on for 1 minute and then rinse thoroughly. Step 3: Follow up with Colour Guarded Colour Protecting Conditioner, applying through mid-lengths and ends, combing through for even distribution and leave on for a minute or two before rinsing thoroughly. Step 4: Towel dry hair and spritz the Colour Guarded Colour Lamination Spray through hair from roots to ends. Ensure you shake well before application. Comb through to ensure even distribution and then use your heated styling tool of choice and stye as desired. You can also use the Colour Guarded Lamination spray on dry hair as part of your heat styling routine between washes.
This depends on how oily your scalp/hair is but anything from 1 to 3 times per week, always ensuring you use a sulphate-free shampoo.
