It cheats the effects of a day at the beach by channeling all that sea-soaked texture. Put simply, it creates the kind of tumbling waves you'd only typically perfect after letting the sun dry your locks. It gives you texture, body and hold in a single bottle.
We recommend only using it when you're really craving texture. As it has a kind of mattifying effect, make sure you follow up with a hydrating mask the next time you wash your hair post-spritz.
Yes. All that extra texture can only be a good thing, so don't be afraid to scrunch a salt spray into fine or thin strands. It's especially good if you prefer to air-dry your hair, as it will stop it looking flat or limp.
It depends on the texture you're starting with. Salt spray takes your natural hair up a notch, so straight strands become a little bit wavier, and wavy hair becomes a little bit curlier. It highlights and defines any existing curves for a texturised effect. And the more you scrunch, the more it's going to wave or curl up.
Go easy at first. Lightly mist it through the mid-lengths and ends of towel-dried or dry hair, then use fingertips to tousle it up and encourage a wave or curl. Add more spray as and when you feel you need it, spritzing just a small amount at a time.
For extra beachy waves, try this: wash and towel-dry hair, then mist the Beach Babe Salt Spray through mid-lengths and ends and scrunch lightly. Next, braid your hair in sections. The more sections, the deeper the wave. Allow these plaits to air-dry before releasing to reveal surfer-inspired curves.
